Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Tennis Sydney Singles Championship!
It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces back on court, as well as plenty of new ones. For quite a few players, this was their first Tennis Sydney tournament, while others returned to compete with us again after many years away.

Some Highlights from the Day
A special mention to two of our most experienced competitors, Geoff D and David E, who showed us that experience still counts!
Geoff produced some fantastic tennis throughout the day, including a true battle of the generations in the semi-final — our oldest competitor versus our youngest! This time, experience won the day, with Geoff defeating John J to reach the Division 2 final. Unfortunately, injury meant Geoff wasn’t able to play the final, but what a run.
David was equally impressive in the group stage, going undefeated and dropping just six games across four matches. Sadly, injury also forced him to withdraw before his semi-final, but it was an impressive performance nonetheless.
Unfortunately, several players also had to withdraw in the lead-up due to injury or illness. We missed having you on court and hope to see you back at another Tennis Sydney event soon.
A special thank you to everyone who stepped in at very short notice to fill those spots. Those last-minute yeses made a big difference and helped us keep all five divisions running as planned.

Thank you to all our group captains for keeping matches moving, managing results and helping us finish the tournament on time, as well as everyone who helped with setup, pack-down and throughout the day.
A huge thank you also to our Committee member Will, who unfortunately couldn’t play due to injury but still helped throughout the whole journey — including shopping, BBQ duties and keeping everyone fed on the day.
Thank you to the Voyager team for their continued support and for helping us host another great Tennis Sydney event.
While most of the Committee was busy at the tournament, our regular Sunday Social still had to go on. A massive thank you to Dwayne and Alex for stepping in and running Sunday Social for us — we genuinely couldn’t have had both events running at the same time without your help.
Most importantly, thank you to all our players for the great tennis, sportsmanship and atmosphere throughout the day, and congratulations again to all our winners and finalists!
