Tennis Sydney Launches New WhatsApp Channel
Tennis Sydney has launched a new WhatsApp Channel, giving members another simple way to keep up with important Club news and announcements.
Unlike a regular WhatsApp group or chat, a WhatsApp Channel is announcement-only.
There are no group conversations or messages from other followers, and your phone number and profile are not visible to other followers
What will we share?
We’ll keep the channel focused on important updates only, including:
- 🎾 Tournament and competition registrations and important updates
- 🌈 Sunday Social changes, including cancellations, washouts or other important information — not weekly reminders
- 📢 Other significant Tennis Sydney news and announcements
The channel is designed to make important information easy to find. There are no group conversations filling up your WhatsApp, no social media ads mixed in with our posts, and announcements appear with the latest updates first, rather than relying on a social media algorithm to decide what you see.
Where can I find the channel?
Once you follow Tennis Sydney, the channel won’t appear in your regular Chats tab. You can find it under the Updates tab in WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Channels are also muted by default. If you’d like to receive notifications when Tennis Sydney posts an update, simply turn on the 🔔 notification icon in the channel.
The WhatsApp Channel doesn’t replace our website, email or social media. It’s simply another convenient way to make sure you don’t miss important Tennis Sydney updates.
