First of all, we hope that you are all well and safe.
With the continued escalation of the COVID-19 crisis and in consultation with the tennis community and Tennis NSW, we will suspend all Tennis Sydney events immediately until further notice.
This includes:
Entries fees paid for Hardcourt Singles Tournament will be refunded – please allow 5-7 business days for these refunds to be processed.
It is not simply a matter of protecting our tennis community, but a matter of responsibility to avoid spreading the virus throughout the community at large that potentially our health care system cannot cope with. We believe this is the best course of action to protect the health and well-being of all.
Failure to comply with Government guidelines in regards to social gatherings and social distancing will result in even more stringent regulations. Let’s work together to demonstrate a level of social responsibility. Your safety and our well being is the number one priority.
Please make sure you practice responsible physical distancing, good hand hygiene and avoid face-to-face conversations with others where possible. It’s everyone’s responsibility to change their behaviours and habits to protect each other.
It’s an unusual reality for us to be distance ourselves from each other. Mental health is important during these times. If you notice a difference in yourself or someone else please make sure you point it out and reach out for help.
Social contact and maintaining routines can be supportive for our mental health and well being.
In circumstances where this is not possible, staying connected with friends and family online or by phone may assist.
Being exposed to large volumes of negative information can heighten feelings of anxiety. While it’s important to stay informed, you may find it useful to limit your media intake if it is upsetting you or your family.
Remember to continue to check in with each other!
