Amazons winter swingers Monday night comp

Hello Ladies! It’s time to swing through the cooler months with entry now open for the Amazon Tennis Winter ‘Swingers’ 2015 Competition; starting Monday 15 June.

‘Swingers’ is a great opportunity to play doubles with a different person each week but is an individual competition where the winner is determined by the highest number of games won. There will be 2 divisions of 9 players (maximum 18 players) with a bye each week – enter early to avoid disappointment. The comp will start on Monday 15 June and run for 9 weeks at Cintra Park Concord. This comp we are introducing an exciting finals night for the top 4 players in each division.

Format: 3 sets of doubles. Sets are first to 6, tie-break at 5-5 all. Sudden death on the 2nd deuce will played in all games from the start of play.

Swinging: 2 courts are allocated for each of the divisions. Each week, you will be allocated a NEW partner for the night. You and your partner will play a total of 3 sets of doubles against 3 of the other pairs. You play this format each week until you have played with everybody in your division. This is a great way to make friends and play with new people!

Who: Entry open to Amazon Tennis and Tennis Sydney Members only.

Venue: Cintra Park Tennis Centre, Gipps Road, Concord

Time: Mondays at 7:30pm until completion (normally around 9:30pm)

There will be drinks and nibbles and we encourage everyone who has played the comp to come along and cheer on the top 4.
