To help you with your planning
There is a lot to enjoy off the courts in Sydney during January. The Sydney Festival, 8-26 January 2015, offers around 400 performances of 140 events performed by more than 1000 artists in more than 30 venues. Inclusive programming, a broad range of free events and accessible pricing policies for the ticketed shows means that Sydney Festival is open to all, welcoming Sydneysiders and visitors from wherever they live.
There is also the final lead-in tournament to the Australian Open Grand Slam. The APIA International, 11-17 January at Sydney Olympic Park, plays host to some of the top names on the WTA & ATP Tours.
Whether a local or visitor, January is the best time to be in Sydney.
