2012 - Sponsorship

Just as the 2011 Grand Slams are done and dusted, Tennis Sydney is starting to reflect on 2011 as one of its most successful yet.

  • Increased membership.
  • Successful Mardi Gras (160 players) and Peter Deacon (145 players) Tournaments;
  • Club Doubles days at Parramatta, Marrickville and the yet to be held Club Doubles Tournament at The Australian Tennis Academy at Oxford Falls for World AIDS day.
  • Over 120 players participated in our Summer, Winter  and current Spring Competitions held at Moore Park, Parklands, Camperdown and Kingsford.
  • The inaugural singles Compass tournament was so well received by players from D to Open grades it is on again in  2012 with perhaps a doubles day in the same format.
  • And the continued strong numbers each and every Sunday at Parklands.

The Tennis Sydney Committee is now on to planning for a bigger and better 2012 both on and off court.

Part of this planning entails actively seeking sponsorship and support from government, corporate and local business sectors. This sponsorship is being sought to help offset the rising costs in court hire and equipment supply and to help develop coaching programs; increase the participation of women in our club; extension programs with other GLTB organisations; strengthen ties with other Team Sydney clubs and to provide further challenging opportunities and events for our members.

The Tennis Sydney committee now encourages expressions of interest and suggestions regarding sponsorship from you the members and organisations who would like to see and support the development and growth of gay and lesbian tennis in Sydney and New South Wales.

Perhaps:

  • You work in an organisation; own a business; provide professional services or have a relationship with a business that is supportive of the aims of Tennis Sydney. We can tailor a sponsorship package to suit your needs.
  • You work in or have experience with the Not for Profit (NFP) or volunteer sectors and can provide advice on submissions and proposals for funding or sponsorship.
  • You have your own ideas for developing and enhancing the members experience with Tennis Sydney. All suggestions and feedback are welcomed.

We are also developing a dedicated Sponsor page on the Tennis Sydney website where Sponsors and Supporters will have their logo, profile and member offerings displayed for 3, 6 or 12 months. More information regarding advertising and promotion on the website will be available soon.
