WORLD AIDS DAY
SUMMER DOUBLES CLASSIC

Fundraising Event – Final Figure

The final figure for the amount raised from our fundraising event is $2053.00 which will be donated to Camp Goodtime at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

Camp Goodtime does not receive any government funding, instead they rely solely on fundraising events, sponsorship and donations.

On behalf of the committee I would like to thank you for your generosity in supporting this cause. I would like to thank the committee for their time in organising this event. In particular, Dean Matterson and Geoff Daus the Co-Tournament Directors who did a magnificent job with the grading/grouping and running the tournament. Michael Sugg for his work on the Control Desk and ensuring that there were no delays with the match schedule. Steve Cashen for his barbeque to ensure that we were all fed for the day, Mark Pfeiffer and Hendry Lukman who made and donated all the muffins, cakes and cookies to look after our sweet tooth for the day and Paul Burns who provided the water/sports drinks. All the proceeds from the food were also donated to the charity. To Ray Lance who took over the raffle duties and sold tickets on the day and did such a wonderful job and Mervin Dizon who provided the red ribbons for the day. To Geoff Burke and all the other members who helped with the set-up and pack down for the day, we appreciate your help assistance.

We thank all the players who took part in the tournament and all the other members and supporters who came out to support the event and make it such a success.

And finally to Marrickville Districts Lawn Tennis Club for the use of their fabulous club and facilities which generated a great atmosphere for the day. Marrickville Districts Lawn Tennis Club were also generous in charging us half price for the courts for the day which helped to increase the final donation amount.

We hope you enjoyed the day and hopefully we can do it again next year.
